ローカルの Codex CLI app server を Visual Studio 内から起動し、チャットツールウィンドウとして利用できるようにする拡張機能です。資格情報を Visual Studio 側で扱うことはありません。サインインは Codex CLI で行います。Runs the local Codex CLI app server from inside the IDE and exposes it through a chat tool window. No credentials are handled inside Visual Studio; sign-in happens in the Codex CLI.

主な機能Features
ストリーミング応答Streaming responses
Codex の応答をチャットツールウィンドウに逐次表示します。Codex responses stream into the tool window.
承認を伴うコマンド実行とファイル変更Approval-aware commands and file changes
/permissions（別名 /approve）または承認モードピッカーで、ask、auto、full、custom の組み込みモードを切り替えられます。Commands and file changes go through approval. Choose ask, auto, full or custom approval modes.
スラッシュコマンドとカスタムスキルSlash commands and skills
チャット入力で / を入力すると、組み込みコマンドに続いて、現在のワークスペースで使える Codex スキルが表示されます。Type / to use built-in commands and the Codex skills available in the workspace.
ワークスペースコンテキストの受け渡しWorkspace context
開いているソリューションまたはフォルダーを Codex に渡します。Passes the open solution or folder to Codex as context.
インストール手順Installation
- Codex CLI をインストールします（npm 経由は推奨しません）Install the Codex CLI with winget (npm installs are not recommended)
winget install --id OpenAI.Codex --source winget - バージョンを確認し、ターミナルから一度サインインしますCheck the version and sign in from a terminal
codex --version codex login - 最新リリースから Codex.VisualStudio.Extension.vsix をダウンロードし、ダブルクリック、または［拡張機能 > 拡張機能の管理］からインストールDownload Codex.VisualStudio.Extension.vsix from GitHub Releases and install it
- Visual Studio を再起動し、［表示 > Codex］を開きますRestart Visual Studio and open View > Codex
